[Look at him, breaking up his predictability with TWO posts in a month.]

You know –

[His voice is dry, dry amusement – and a few dark undertones. Minion is gone – and so is Miss Ritchi. He should’ve known better than the expect any sort of prolonged exposure to his fantastic fish and hos preferred damsel, awkwardness be damned.]

This probably isn’t the most gruesome thing that’s happened in the Keep, but it’s a close second.

[Eyes his heart.]

Perchance – would anyone care to bring me theirs, so that I might…compare differences? Anatomy has always been an…interest of mine.

[He swallows, peering at her, checking her pupils, making sure she's not been beaten of the head with...Creator only knew what.]

I'm not acting odd. I'm acting like I act when I realize I'm in love with someone. With you.

[She has no idea what he's doing, but she's not going to be objecting to him peering at her. It does mean she's going to lean back in to try to kiss him again, though.

But then she cuts herself short when he asks about her loving him again.]

How could I not?

[She IS acting odd, but there's just enough doubt in his mind to think maybe she's actually telling the truth to keep him from pushing her out and slamming the damn door.]

Admittedly there's nothing about me not to love, but -- you've never expressed this degree of affection for me before.

[Cough.]

That's because before, I was stupid. I must've been, not to be realizing how strongly I felt about you.

[She's mad at herself, now. How could she have ever wondered what it was she felt, have ever not known that she loved him?

That's the one thing she's knowing with absolute certainty right now.]

That...isn't necessary. Truly, Ryn.

[Because he's already beginning to have his suspicions about just how real this all really is.

Oh, but he does want it to be, to earn the affection and love of a woman as himself, without playing any kind of roles or even being a good guy. He's never felt like he's had to hide anything from her, and...and to hear her say this is like some kind of dream come true.

He wants to believe it. More than anything.

It'd...be okay to let her love him for a little while, right? Knowing this place, it wont last, but...

Maybe...maybe for now it'll be alright.]

Though I'd be hardpressed to be firm in my argument. Hearing I'm adored does have it's perks.

Of course it is.

[It's absolutely necessary, Megamind. That's how much she loves him, that she has to do everything in her power to be making up for the time when she didn't love him.

Well, no, that can't be accurate, because clearly she's always fucking loved him. She just hadn't known it before she'd met him, and had been too stupid and confused to realize it until today.

But for what it's worth, while she may not be head over heels in love with him without some Keep assistance, the distinctly romantic feelings she does have for him are entirely because he's himself.

She brightens at that, though.]

Does it? I'll just have to be working hard to sway you, then.

[He grins at her though it's more like a smirk, easily falling back into routine -- banter and witty quips are more his style anyway.]

Yes, but I'll have you know I'm incredibly difficult to bend.

[His arms clasp loosely around her waist, lips still curled into his half smile, half smirk.]

But, I'm willing to allow you to give it a whirl.

She grins at that, resting her hand on the back of his head.]

Would you be, then? Fortunate for me, seeing as I'm always just going to take you saying things like that as a challenge.

[He smirks at her, until her hand goes there. You know, one of those ridiculously sensitive places that no one ever touches?

[Her tone is playful and teasing, though she's really quite serious.]

I'd be a bit put out if you're allowing others a go at bending you.

[Oh. That's the kind, is it? In that case, Ryn's going to leave her hand right there, and smile at him as innocently as she can. Which isn't fucking innocent at all, but that's beside the point.]

There's a distinct possibility that that can be arranged.

[She strokes her hand down, resting it on the back of his neck.]
