[Alex holds up his hands in response to the angry response this earns him. He's not intimidated by Megamind in the slightest, but he doesn't have it in him to fight with him right now.]

You know what... [He snaps off, raising a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose.] Fine. I won't presume that. What I know is that I ran with Bryn in her human and inhuman forms and she was one of my closest friends for the past year.

I won't presume that I knew her as well as you did, but you shouldn't presume that you're the only one hurt.
